Lanzarote, part of the volcanic archipelago that is the Canary Islands, is not quite as bursting with energy as Tenerife is, but its nightlife will still keep most happy. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, and night clubs at almost every resort across the island, so you will always have somewhere to go close by. However, some areas are busier, and more happening than others.

The busiest of the bars and night clubs in Lanzarote are located at the ‘Avenida de las Playas’ in Puerto del Carmen. This resort is fantastic, for it caters you every need. On the one hand you have fantastic restaurants in the quaint Old Town, and on the other you have the pumping night clubs on The Strip. Famous nightclubs in this resort include Centro Atlantico, for the more intense side of things, and Matagorda which is situated nearby Arrecife airport.

Arrecife, the capital, is another place where serious party goers head to. It has a great selection of tapas bars, and is host to many different community events all year round, meaning there’s always something special going on to get swept up in. And what’s more is it’s walking distance from Playa Honda, which though mostly taken up by residential areas, also has some great places to eat and go out.

Costa Teguise is the most established resort on the island, and along with its incredible beaches, it has an extremely wide selection of places where you can eat or drink. This is the more family oriented side of things, however, so you won’t get any really bustling nightclubs here. And the same goes for Playa Blanca.

Whichever resort you go to, you will no doubt find something great to do in the evening on Lanzarote. And what’s even better is that most of the evening entertainment on the island is free. There is much more than just loud music as well, including live bands, karaoke and stand up comedy, allowing you to branch out a bit and experience something new. Lanzarote is a great place to be after dark.
