Do you like bird watching? Some people like it, while others not. However, there are always some reasons why people finally make it as their hobby to be done in their spare time. Perhaps, your reason is the same as theirs. But, do you k now about the best time to do such activity?

Why it is important to know about the real best time for bird watching? Actually, there is only a single purpose for it: to let you enjoy the perfect excellent sightings. Some people claim the middle of the day as the worst time for doing such activity. So, please avoid that time if you really want to do our hobby.

Another important thing you should pay attention in bird watching is about the best way we do when we are doing it. In fact, the common mistake when birding is to assign human emotions and behavior to the birds you are viewing. May be you never realize that birds may appear to react as such, although actually they are not following typical human behavior.

However, they appear to be primarily reacting to stimulus. It means that it will be quite foolhardy if you have the assumption that they will follow the same schedule as we do. It is true that there are some similarities between human and bird, but not too many actually. By knowing what the birds want and behave as the responses to several situations surrounding them, everything will run very well.

The great thing about bird watching is that you will be able to see many different kinds of birds coming from several different places. Anyway, there should be awareness that every type of bird has different patterns of activity. One of the most obvious examples is the owl. It is a species which will never feel interested during the day given the fact most species are sleeping.

Enjoy your bird watching hobby and find the fun of life there.

Tweet Peepers

Ken Kavulia, 62

We kind of had a hard time that day. Not much variety—loads of shore sparrows that are not too spectacular. But we did see a cedar waxwing, a pretty impressive bird. It’s got a tufted head and a light-tan body, grayish wings, a brown head. Don’t take my word for the colors too much. I’m partially color-blind. Read the rest of this entry »
